Nightingale Vocal Ensemble

 

CØDA and Nightingale Vocal Ensemble teamed up for their joint concert The Invisible and Eternal, an examination of faith in western music. This concert worked to pair twentieth- and twenty-first-century music that reflected on Western sacred music traditions. The concert culminated with Arvo Pärt’s Stabbat Mater, for string trio and chamber voices.

Led by co-directors Laura Nevitt and Benjamin Perry, Nightingale Vocal Ensemble strives to bring programs of new and unexplored repertoire to audiences of all ages and creeds in the greater Boston area. Nightingale Vocal Ensemble’s focus on innovative programming, original and experimental compositions, and choral chamber works from the last century, was the impetus for their formation. Their commitment to contemporary music is very evident, and many members of the ensemble composer new works for their performances,
